Type of a scam Employment

Today, at 10:47 am, this gentleman who claimed to be from Ateeca temporary staffing agency, he stated his name as Suguru Sai Krishna, called me from a Florida number but said he is in New Jersey. He could barely speak english and it was hard to understand him. He said he had an opening for a Recruiter position in North Charleston at Boeing and seemed to hit all of my information regarding my work experience from my resume on Indeed. He asked me for a salary I felt comfortable with which I stated and he asked me to forward my resume to him. Even though he should have already seen it on Indeed. He then sent me an email while we were talking and asked if I could respond and attach my resume.

Right before I was hanging up, he was asking a few questions, and one of them was my date of birth. I told him I didn’t feel comfortable stating that. So long as you are above the age of 18, you never have to tell someone your age. I knew then that it was very fishy. That isn’t a normal job question. So I hung up the phone with him. I went online and did research and found their website does not list Boeing as a client for temporary staffing. I also noticed that the address in his email didn’t match up with the address posted on their website. I also researched Boeing’s currently openings posted on their site, and this is not one of them they are looking for right now.

I didn’t give the gentleman any further information or send him an email. I believe this is a scam.
