Web search for apple support. Called them and let them look through my lap top and phone to solve photo downloading issue. Surprised when they asked for e check and stupidly gave it to them. Tried a stop payment on them with amount they charged but bank didn’t follow through with that unfortunately. (not enough time?) Afraid they could take more money from us with bank info and check sequence info. Visiting bank now. They had put a tech number on our task bar and installed a firewall (claimed the Russians had hacked me through FB). Reset my laptop and iphone to factory settings. Bogus firewall and protection. If they don’t take any more money from us ($662) then we are lucky and learned a lesson. I can now say I was a stupid victim. Just can’t believe it.

This company claims to be Apple Tech Support. Said there was a virus on the phone and scammed my 19 year old into-aging them $500.00. They tried to use his debit card, but our bank declined. He was told to buy a prepaid card for Walmart and low the card that way. They said if he didn’t his other devices would get the virus.

looked at a charge on my bank account i called to inquire with the phone # that was on my bank statement for this transaction which they said they were pay pal. I was told to call a number supposedly to correct which then i was told i was hacked by russians and that i needed to purchase a firewall protection from them. I purchased a 5 year plan in the amount of $552.99. they said they were with Apple support protection. After reviewing my agreement i did not see Apple name but astrum infotech. i then researched and saw that there have been other complaints where they were told the same. this is fraud they are not a Apple company i have notified my credit card company and have emailed them a request for a total refund.

The company represents itself as connected to Apple. It has defrauded me three times (stupid me). Each time it has fixed a "hacking" problem with my computer but has indicated I should purchase a Service Contact to stop any problem in the future. The contracts are very expensive (the last was $2952.99 for a ten year contract). However, the two other contracts were stated to stop any future problems and obviously did not. The company’s authorization to do business in NJ (where I live) was revoked by the NJ Dept of the Treasury Division of Revenue and Enterprise Services on 2/16/2018.

This company poses as being Apple, but they are not! I called about my iPhone being wiped and they stated it was hacked in Russia. They instill fear by saying the hackers now have access to all of your personal information, banking, everything.

They then proceeded to tell me for $269 they could restore my phone and recover my pictures, texts, etc and have malware protection for a year. I obliged, only to find out they are not Apple, and this is a scam. After asking personal questions about passwords, etc., I declined. Do NOT give these people any money.

Learned my lesson the hard way.

I tried to use my safari on my iphone 8 then I get this weird message that pops up that says my apple account had been hacked. So they gave me this number to call and they said I needed to pay them 200.00 for them to protect my account. They asked for my bank card and the card kept declining. I thought it was because my personal information had been hacked. So they suggested that I go and get a prepaid card and me unknowing that this was a scam, I did like a dummy. So I contacted my bank, and they informed me that it was a scam. I called the prepaid company to ask if they could reverse the charge. So the dispute department is working on getting me my money back. I hope we’re successful.
