I received two e-mails from the e-mail listed above claiming that I had tried to open up health insurance through Assurance. I had not tried to secure health insurance and so I called the phone number that was listed in the e-mail. A man answered the phone and I explained that I had received two e-mails from Rachael B. regarding health insurance that I had not solicited. He replied, "Well, she would have received your information if you were looking for health insurance." When I told him that I was not looking for health insurance he asked me if I currently had health insurance. I told him that it appeared that someone had tried to open an account with my information and that it was fraud. When he heard this, he immediately said, "Ok, thank you for letting us know and we’ll update your file." However, I had never told him any identifying information. He quickly hung up.
