Type of a scam Phishing

I have received phone calls daily stating that I have a debt that needs to be paid and to press 9 if I want to know more. So, I press 9 and the call always hangs up. That is the first sign of something phishy. I call the numbers back and spoke to an April, who states my name, my address, and the last 4 of my social and states I have a failure to appear at court for a debt on a Chase account and for the amount given. I call chase and they say I do not have this account nor does the account exist. So I call the phishers back and the say the debt is valid but then hang up on me. I call back and then they hang up on me again. I am only concerned as to how they have so much information on me and how I can protect myself from fraudulent activity being done in my name.
