Type of a scam Debt Collections

This company is probably scamming people. What kind of a debt collector only has your phone number and no other information ?

And there is no record of pending charges on my credit report but somehow this company is making up cases and trying to scam good tax paying individuals. They said I have pending traffic claim, and I don’t even drive or have a car. When I asked more questions, the representative of this company was just rude and hung up the call. Don’t provide them any information or send them money.
