Type of a scam Online Purchase

I wanted to purchase a Yeti cooler as a gift. They offered one at a discounted price. I made the purchase. They sent me an email confirmation. I waited for my purchase to arrive. It never came. I received an email stating that the item ordered was "out of stock" & that a refund had been issued to me. I figured that the order never should have gone through if the stock was unavailable. However, I checked my card statement to see if a credit had been issued but none had been received. I tried to contact the company to request when I would be getting the promised refund, but to no avail. I was given the run around (through email). After a few more tries to contact the company, I sent an inquiry to the corporate office of Yeti to see if anything at all could be done since they were in fact advertising Yeti which is a trademarked item. Unfortunately, Yeti stated that since the company was not an authorized retailer of Yeti, they would not be able to help me. I was beyond disbelief that not only was I scammed by this online merchant but also that Yeti was not more understanding and helpful.
