Type of a scam Employment
Someone saying they were from Apptio offered me a Customer Service Representative job making $38 an hour, first red flag. They had me download Hangouts and did the interview through there. Then they said they would send me a check to buy equipment and my sign on bonus. Classic scam.
Both the people who contacted me were using generic Gmail addresses and said I was hired without any background check or even talking to me on the phone (for a phone based job). Yeah right.
Here’s a sample of the conversation.
"Congratulations, your performance ensured you had a good score eligible for enrollment into our weekly routine training program. You scored 9.0 out of a possible 10. , you have just been confirmed qualified for this position
You are now offered the job position…you are HIRED!
You are welcome to ( Apptio)
You are now given a chance to show your commitment,charisma,diligence and be a productive employee.
How do you feel now ?
I believe the company can count on your devotion?"
