Type of a scam Tech Support

This person has called me on the phone from 972-384-0046 with this name on the called ID Cuevas Jr. He claims to be with Apple/Windows computers and alerts me that I have a virus on my computer. He wants me to turn on my computer and allow him to remotely fix the virus problem. I told him my virus program does not detect a virus. He then gets mad and asks that do I not understand what he is saying. I said this is fishy and does not sound right. He then assures me "This is not a scam". I hang up on him and he calls me 5 more times.
