Type of a scam Tech Support

I was trying to correct my e billing with when the two notice came screaming across with a bunch of letters asking me to call the numbers provided above as I had a virus on my computer and is going to do damage on my accounts to call them so they can stop the damaged it was going to do.I was talking to this person where the action took [place on the phone and she heard what they were saying and she told me to contact my service provider and scan my computer. My provider said I was ok. scan my computer and I was find.unable to supply as I never thought about it and would not know how to do that as it was over the screen where I was talking to.
