This caller reports a problem with Apple cloud account that is being hacked by foreign entities. They get you to logon to your computer and they get access to have control. They are very good at convincing you they are from Apple even telling you to google their number to verify an Apple internet site (phony). Eventually they show you foreign IP addresses connecting with your account. Then they get personal information and every credi debit card you provide where they will put a verification in place to always make sure activity is only yours. It is a scam to infect your PC with spyware and collect personal info and financial data. There are some key indicators to be aware of and avoid falling for the trap:1. No one from Apple will ever call you like this, 2 if truly an Apple. Cloud issue it would not be corrected using your Windows computer, 3. When they say any screen you complete is encrypted on their end, don’t believe they cannot see what you are typing,

How to avoid: don’t answer calls from “Apple inc” or hang up. Do not select option 1. If you do connect tell them you do not respond to tech support calls you don’t initiate. HANG UP! Never allow someone you don’t know to take control of your computer unless YOU called a verified tech support team you know. HANG UP!

Lesson learned the hard way. I had to immediately close 5 Credit/debit cards and have my pc cleansed by BB Geek Squad. I enrolled my phone number Nomorobo to stop robo calls which should stop repeated calls from this group. Highly recommend making sure you have caller ID and sign up to stop robo calls!

Lastly, these people are very good at their job. But when I started getting suspicious they put on a manager and he get verbally angry! The real Apple support technician had called at the time on another phone verified that they never make calls like this and would be fired if they were ever verbally abusive to a customer.

I am pretty smart but still got duped. Don’t fall for this scam! Don’t answer the phone but if you do, immediately hang up and block the caller if you can. I was called by at least three different numbers so you may have to block more than once.

I am getting hourly phone calls from a phone number that identifies as Apple Inc on the caller ID. When answered, there is a recorded message saying that there is a problem with my icloud account. After multiple calls, I called Apple directly to tell about this scam. I also pressed 0 to speak to a representative and while waiting, the recording says "thank you for calling Apple Support ple[censored]d while we connect you to a representative". I asked the person that finally answered to stop calling me because I know this is a scam. He laughed and hung up. Still getting the hourly calls.
