Tried to tell me my apple account was locked and would be automatically disabled if I did not verify today. Asked for address, ssn, Apple ID and password, and card info. Even has apple support homepage. I entered all the info until it asked for my card info. That’s when I stopped and called apple. They told me it was a scam and to contact the ScamPulse.com and change my Apple ID.

I’ve received more than 8 calls over the past 2 days from various numbers. They leave messages stating that they are Apple support advisors and that my iCloud account has been compromised and they need to work with me to address the issue. The voice mails state that I can press 2 to reach an advisor immediately or call this number directly to reach them 206-460-0187. The funny thing is that I don’t own a single Apple product. I never got in touch with them because I know this is either a phishing attempt or that they are trying to sell me products I don’t need. I also read about this scam from an internet post from someone that played along to see what they would do. Apparently, they have you download a piece of remote control software and try to get you to allow them to connect and control your computer. I don’t know what the end game is, but it is definitely nefarious. It was also apparent that the call center operates out of either Pakistan or India.

I received an email telling me that someone had purchased two iTunes store family memberships using my account. When I clicked on the link, it let me to https://valid-user.com/account/ This site convincingly looks like the real Apple log in page. When clicking on the "forgot password" this page asked me to fill in my personal details, including my Social Security Number, Address, Birthday, and other personal details. Fortunately, I did not continue and closed the site. I have attached screenshots of both the email and the fake website.

This website is a phisher. It asks as if it were apple and says there is a problem with your Apple ID. Once you log in to “their website” it asks you for sensitive information. I am reporting this to hopefully warn others and try to stop before it continues and commutes identity theft.
