My computer was frozen with a message down the center telling me to call Microsoft and it gave me a phone number to call. I could not do anything with the computer so I called the number provided. I "assumed" I was talking to a Microsoft technician. They told me that my computer had been hacked and that they could fix it if I paid them $289.00. Since I could do nothing with the computer, and I believed that I was talking to Microsoft, I gave these people my credit card number. It took them about an hour to repair it. Two weeks later, I receive a phone call from them and they tell me my computer has been hacked again and this time they need $200.00. I refused to pay them and the tech named Michael told me that he would destroy my computer. I still refused to pay and he destroyed my computer. My computer is brand new, so I called Hewlett Packard. They told me I had been scammed. Hewlett Packard completely cleaned my computer back to factory status. It took them over 8 hours. I had to cancel my credit card and get a new one. These people from AP Technologies are calling me 3 to five times a day. We have called the police and they can’t help us. I do not know where these people are located. They use 4 different phone numbers. They are: an 800 Service 844-586-2549, a Not Available 11877373737, an Unknown Name Private Number and today Live%3A88cblf7 551-226-6114. These people are becoming a real issue for me and I want them to stop. We have tried talking to them, to no avail. Now we just do not answer the phone. Can you help us? We don’t know what to do.
