My family and I contacted Angels Havanese Puppies on their website in regards to meeting one of the puppies. We asked where they were located and if we could meet the puppy. They said they were located in Oklahoma along with a lengthy email about the puppy, recent pictures of the puppy and if we were interested what they needed from us to proceed with the adoption. They answered all our questions, concerns through emails regarding shipping (which was free) and were so convincing and attentive which made us feel at ease that the puppy will be well taken care of and traveling with someone on the flight. We also asked to talk to them and we provided our number and they texted us instead. We signed the agreement, some names were different on agreement which seemed odd: Name: Dominion Herna and Desma Herna. They requested to be paid through Zelle (name:  Sam Dawodu – email [email protected] and in the memo they said put: Tom. That name was not on our sales contract at all or the puppy’s name and I questioned them and I told them I will put: for the purchase of a Puppy. They also requested a copy of the payment receipt emailed to them as soon as I paid. The next morning I emailed the breeders to confirm that they received the payment and they emailed us back to say that they did and would update us about the puppy’s flight information. We then received a tracking number along with the website of the "shipping company" – Express Shipping Prime. The Breeders also mentioned that the crate they brought the puppy in was rejected due to the weather and that the shipping company would get in touch with us. The shipping company emailed us and requested us to rent an electronic crate due to the weather for our puppy at the cost of $1,000. Rental was $30 and $970 was a deposit which we would get back upon return of the crate at the arriving airport. I asked to speak to them and they gave me a number and I spoke to them and got disconnected twice when we were asking pressing questions. We also emailed asking questions and they said that they had puppies that needed to leave on a plane and my puppy was one of them and needed to board the flight if I wanted him to arrive today and if the puppy was not shipped today that they would report me for animal abuse and cruelty. We paid the $1,000 thinking we were leaving our puppy in a shipping company and we paid using Zelle again Name: Khadija Aremu email: [email protected] and was told to email a copy of the sales receipt again. I was told they would update me with the new tracking info and flight receipt for my puppy and they never emailed it to us. The shipping company – Express Shipping Prime emailed me again saying that they inspected my puppy and that I needed to have life Insurance for my puppy on the flight pertaining to COVID19. They are asking for $1,875 instead of $3,800 (because of a discount) to insure the life of my puppy and they threatened me again with animal abuse and cruelty if the puppy was left there. We have emailed and texted the breeders and they have not responded. The breeders website has also been taken down unless I’m blocked. Beware of these Puppy Scams. They sound legitimate. They have a website, email, cell numbers. Please be careful.
