Type of a scam Sweepstakes/Lottery/Prizes

Received a call stating I was a prize winner, I pressed option 1 to speak with a live rep so I could get more information. They verified my marital status, estimated salary, etc… I did not provide them any SS#, address or banking/credit card information though..

They advised that I was guaranteed to win one of 3 prizes with no obligation to purchase anything.

Grand Prize was either a 2017 Ford Explorer or $25K in cash. 2nd prize was 2 night accommodation for 2, and third prize was a 40inch flat screen tv..

I was advised I just needed to come to the office to claim my prize and pick a scratch ticket which will later identify the prize I have won.

The rep also claimed that as a bonus, I would get a $100 dinner certificate to one of hundreds of restaurants..

He (Mark Lewis was the name given) advised the company would talk about what the company does and the purpose of the business so I would need to stay to listen to the company’s speech and then there is a meet and greet sort of thing. I had to pick one out of 3 times that were available between today and Saturday..

I was very skeptical after my phone call and googled the # provided and found that others were tempted with the same sort of prize and that it was a scam..

Please research this and put a stop to these people.
