Type of a scam Credit Cards

I posted a motorcycle for sale on Craigslist. I had a person contact me acting very interested in it. They said they recently went to a nearby town for the same type of motorcycle, and it turned out to be a lemon. So they wanted a vehicle history report on it. Then they sent a link for a car history report, then an email. The website looks almost legit, then asks for credit card information. I went to a different site and pulled the report for $10 and emailed it to that email address. They stopped texting me after that.
