Person from AMRA Info-Systems called and said they were authorized by MSN to help us fix our computer problems – that we had a virus and our computer was in danger of crashing. They were very convincing and my husband bought it. After gaining remote access and credit card number from him, they also got our bank account number saying the credit card wouldn’t process the $350 they wanted to charge him. After receiving an email noting payment of the $350, my husband explained what he had been told. I immediately reported this to credit card cancelled our acct. and bank who stopped payment on the electronic check and changed our account. I checked online and learned that internet providers NEVER call and scare you into believing that your computer has a virus and that you are in "danger" of losing all your records.
