I was going through Facebook marketplace and stumbled across an iPhone XS, for $120. I figured, “Why not?”.
Amon Amison (the seller) lied at first by listing it under Lexington, KY. I asked to meet him, and he said he lived in Indiana, but promised to ship it to me.
Having too much faith in humanity, I ignorantly decided, sure. He said he would send me the tracking data once it ships, and I agreed to it. After I sent the payment via CashApp, he left the conversation, and blocked me on Facebook.
I have since created multiple accounts to get ahold of him, warning him that I will report this if I don’t receive the money back, and he just blocks me on the new accounts. He has since posted the listing for the phone again, I assume to trick somebody else.
I hope something can be done about this guy. I can provide screenshots of his profile, pictures of him, and screenshots of our conversation as proof. He needs to be charged, in my opinion.
