I was greeted on the other end of the call by a man, Mike Perkins, yelling at me. He stated that I owed $3880.00 from a payday loan from 2009. He stated it was through Chase Bank. I have never had an account through Chase. He stated that if I didn’t pay $1402.50 in the next hour, I would be served and my bank account would be frozen, as well as possible liens on my vehicle or home, until the money was recovered.

I have been contacted for over the last couple of months from a company called AMG calling from a phone number of 239-309-0658 when I called that number I reached a Monica who stated that I had an out standing debt from JCP for $8,000 but it could be settled for $2,000. She wanted my debt card information, I told her that I would have to check with my husband about the debt. We pulled my credit file I owe no such debt but she still calls also from another number 239-309-0669 which you have to leave a message and then she calls back from 239-309-0658. I told her that I knew this was a scam and to stop calling me!!!!

Type of a scam Online Purchase

AMG is advertising kit car builds for 20K. They claim that a car can be assembled in six weeks and delivered two weeks later. AMG requires a 5K deposit and will send you pictures of the build. This is a scam folks. Beware. There is no way that any company can build a Lamborghini kit car for 20K in six weeks time.

Type of a scam Debt Collections

The company claimed to be calling to collect $582.00 from a past medical bill I owed from 2007. They claimed that the University of Utah hospital had tried repeatedly to get a response over the years. When I asked them to provide me with the dates of the services to which they responded that HIPPA would not allow them to convey that information. They had told me I needed to respond today by providing them with my information to my bank account or they would proceed to take me to court. They had my correct home address and the last 4 digits of my social security. When I asked if they could provide me with information to the University of Utah billing department to validate their information, they refused and said it was valid. They then quoted some Utah law indicating it was legal for them to come after me for this past due balance, the lady then hung up on me.
