Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

Contacted on Memorial Day about a job I was told that it was for Amerigroup working from home. They asked if I was interested I told them yes because I wanted to see how far they would go. They asked me to log into Google Hangout and was interviewed and was told I got the job. I was told I would receive a check in the mail to purchase office equipment needed for the job. There was red flags throughout the whole conversation. I received the check today via UPS in the amount of 2340.90. Shortly after receiving the check I was contacted about depositing the check via ATM at my bank. I told them I didn’t have my car and was asked to take a cab. I had already called Amerigroup and the bank to let them know of the scam. They keep texting to see if I went to the bank already.
