Type of a scam Utility

The scammer said they were with Ameren UE power company. They said they were going to turn off my power today. I knew it was a scam because I paid my bill this week and had gotten a text confirming my payment. While I was on the phone I checked my account online and it said there was no bill due. I asked the scammer to confirm the address that the power was going to be disconnected. He said he could not give my the address. I asked what name was on the account and he said he could not tell me. I told him he was a scammer. This is the first day utility companies can turn off for non payment. It has been delayed due to Covid 19.
