Amazon wanted my personal information so they could run a background credit check while I was looking for an online job opportunity. They started asking all sorts of personal information and I was told it was so they could run a credit check before I would be approached by any employer. I just stopped filling out the application as I did not want to share my information like my driver’s license and social security number.

I then called the ScamPulse.com to report to see if it was legitimate.

Told to go to website listed and apply for a job with Amazon posting and reviewing products. Would make between $17-$35 per hour. Only 23 spots available. I have previously worked for Amazon and that is not how you apply for employment with them, I believe this to be a total scam. And wanted to make people aware.

Got a missed call but phone never rang. Voicemail was a lady saying Amazon had jobs for people to review products from home. Said she saw my online resume and the review I had left for a product( I had left one a few days ago) and that starting pay was $17/hr. She gave me the website to go to and said there were 23 jobs left. Figured it was a scam but I went to the website to confirm it was. Website talked about a guy who started doing it in 2015 as a beta tester. Makes 14,000 a month. Said there 100 jobs (not 23) and that applicants had to pay a "small processing fee" for their application "so they can pick only the SERIOUS applicants" I never found out how much the fee was because I had seen enough and was leaving the website when a notification on my laptop came up and said that someone was trying to track my location. I exited out the website immediately.
