Type of a scam Tech Support

A man with a foreign accent has called a number of times claiming that he is from micro soft word technical department and he wants me to turn on my computer because he is claiming that our computer is downloading malicious information and overloading it with junk files. I asked him for his phone number and the name of his company. It is very clear that he is calling from a call center because I can hear multiple calls with similar information being asked in the background.
