Type of a scam Online Purchase

I’ve been messaging to purchase a boxer puppy for 2 days. I have a Uncle willing to travel from Texas to Oklahoma to see pup and verify shipping. When I said this to the phone number they didn’t respond for about 24 hours. They messaged me out of the blue today asking me to send payment thru PayPal before seeing the pup. No response even after I called them a scammer. Website has only been up for 1 month but has testimonial from longer. They said they renewed website a month and been in business for 3 years.
