I was first contacted by text message informing me that Alan Scofield had found my resume on indeed and to email him at [email protected] That was already a red flag since my email address is on my resume so he could’ve just emailed me. Then I was sent an email explaining that he needed a personal/logistics assistant and that I would be paid $520 weekly. He said he was in consulting and I could work whenever I was available. I looked up the name and the only thing I found was a Linkedin profile with the same name that only contained his name and that he was the owner of Scofield and Company, Edgetech Analytrics. Nothing else was on the profile. When I searched for Edgetech Analytrics I found a Linkedin profile that listed a completely different person as the business owner. He offered me a job on the spot and wanted to meet in a couple weeks after I filled out information for a background check. Definitely a scam.
