Type of a scam Rental

Posted an ad on Craigslist about renting a nice apartment. Contacted him through email. He replied back. Said it was rented through Airbnb. Asked me to send all my personal info. I saved the emails. Said it was $1000. Said Airbnb would draw up contract and hand over keys after I pay. I asked to see the place and he insisted on Airbnb first. I never gave him any info other than my email and phone number and name. I never paid him anything. I researched him online as he says he works in Dallas for GM motors. I couldn’t find any info on him anywhere. Then I stumbled upon a post saying it’s a scam and report it here.
