I almost got scammed by ainswort shihtzu they said I had to prepay for shipping and then when they told me they would deliver the puppy to my doorstep I asked if I could pick it up at the airport, that’s when they stopped contacting me, and then when I called back they never answered my call and the puppy I thought I bought was still for sale on their website

I wonder if its the same people im dealing with now, what were the pictures of the shih tzus that were on other scammers?

I sent them 600.00 for a shih tzu. After paying for the dog they sent me a shipping company and the shipping company is saying the dog came in " a wooden box" and in order to ship i had three options. 1 for 950.00, 2 was 11, 480.00, and the 3rd waz 2, 500.00. I told them i would just pick the dog up at the airport and then thats the last i heard from them. 15 minutes later the number is no longer in service, so i used my husbands phone and it was a texting app. I asked for recent picture and i got one. I asked the kind of dog food it was eating, etc. The man at the shipping company was the same voice of the seller. When i called them out on it they said I would be charged with abandonment. I did not sign the contract with the shipping company and infact selected i wasnt interested. They also have the same picture on their website as another scammer.

Me and my boyfriend had been looking for a shihtzu for a while now, we wanted a specific one. so we went online and found this website called ainsworth[censored]zus.com and they were selling the puppy we wanted so i contacted them and the responded to me through email. They say all the right things like “ who will be the primary owner “ or “ do you have pets of your own” and things like this make people think that its a legit thing. Well NO its not after we decided to buy the puppy then they started acting weird and they wouldn’t reply to our text. I was honestly kind of suspicious about them before we payed but from all the excitement from thinking i was going to get a new puppy I didn’t stop to think and that’s when they get you. I was suspicious because they didn’t have any reviews or social media, their website was a little off, they didn’t have a lot of info about them on their website.

Then after we purchased the puppy they sent us a link to the shipping company which looks like a legit thing but when they called me the man sounded like the man that sold me the puppy. At this point i was furious with these people because they aren’t answering and everything starting clicking in my head “ i just got scammed”, my boyfriend was so mad he told the man something and he acted like he didn’t know then he disconnected his phone. We are young so we didn’t know what money transfers not to use and of course he told us to use the one that won’t refund our money back to us not even if we got scammed. Just be careful out there and ask before making any online purchases especially big ones.
