Type of a scam Phishing

A man who had an Asian accent called and offered me a free back brace. He said he found my name on the internet. (I never applied for anything like that.) He asked me for the last four digits of my Soc. Sec. number , my birth date, age, and weight. We parted ways and I remembered something I wanted to ask him, so I called the number back and it was not a valid number. No business was connected to the name or phone number when a Google Search was done.
