Type of a scam Debt Collections

I received a phone call last week from a Jonathan Swisher (name given but who knows if that’s even real), who said he was calling to collect a debt I owe. The supposed debt is for 3 quarterly payments of $149.99 each that he says I should have paid toward computer tech support. To start, I should explain that I have been scammed by 2 separate computer tech support phone calls. The 2nd time, they claimed to be from Microsoft, of course they were not I later found out. I paid a total of $649.99 for tech support services (to be filed under separate complaint). Now, this guy is calling, in a very threatening manner and saying I owe more money for supposed delinquent payments (3 x $149.99) plus late fees. He demanded I pay over the phone the amount of $649.99, coincidentally the same amount I paid already. This "collections dept" said if I did not pay right then, that he would be filing a judgement for $900, to include his fee of $250. I told him I would not pay because I do not owe anything and that I know it is a scam. Of course, he did not give up trying to collect and threatened me with all kinds of legal action and accumulating further charges. I told him I am retired, disabled and cannot afford to pay, even if I were of a mind to. At that point, this man said he could probably get the amount lowered to $300 for me if I could pay right then. I told him again I would not pay. He gave me one week to come up with the money at which time he will call back. This is a new one to me, but a total SCAM! Not only was I dumb enough to fall for the Tech Support scam twice, but now they are calling and pretending to be a collection agency. All calls have been done by phone so I have little information on these people, except first names and phone numbers used. When I googled the Collection Agency name, it does not exist online. The persons name comes up in bulk, I have no address or state to help identify which one he may be. When I researched area codes thinking I could figure out which state he is in I found that both 888 and 855 are toll free area codes and non-geographic, in other words there is no specific state. Upon contacting Microsoft, they do not solicit by "cold calls" to offer Tech Support and also took a complaint regarding this entire incident. Also, under the area codes sites, it is reported that these two area codes and a few others are known to be used by scammers. There has to be a way to stop these creeps from ripping people off! They are very careful not to leave much of a trail however in which to locate them, so please beware of both the Tech Support scams and now debt collections. I have blocked this callers number on my phone and hope not to hear from him again.
