I found an application for a secret shopper on Linkedin. I received an email saying I have been approved to be a shopping and my first check and assignment would be delivered to my mailbox. I received the check and assignment. I mobile deposited the check. The assignment was to buy $2500.00 worth of google play gift cards. Then a cell phone texted me and claimed to be a Mark Jones from Whole Foods Market Survey, asking if I received the package and when I thought I would complete it. I asked him if I was able to shop at Wal-Mart and Best-Buy and if I can use a check. He said yes. So on 11/28 I went and bought $2500.00 Google Play gift cards. The assignment told me I was to send them pictures of the front and back scratched off gift cards because I will need to use it for a different assignment. So I emailed my report and pictures to [email protected] and to Mark Jones. Today my bank called me to tell me the check was found to be fraudulent and that my account will be on hold until I can get to a positive balance. I have tried to contact this "company" but nothing is happening.
