Type of a scam Credit Repair/Debt Relief

I called and spoke with a gentleman by the name Brain Dunn (949-304-1762) and we spoke about possibly taking a loan out to pay off my credit card debt. I was hesitant at first to give out my information but they needed it to see if I would qualify for a loan. He took, my name, DOB, SS# and address. Then I was informed that an underwriter needed to take a look at it and they would contact me back. I should receive an email with all the information along with a phone call. I received an email that only stated that he need my phone number to contact me Then never received another call from them. About a week later-after many calls, I received an email stating that he is there to help for a solution but still no information regarding a loan, rates or anything. Then I have now received two additional emails that are more commercial like. When I call the "direct" number, it goes to voicemail that is generic and no call back. I fear that I have just giving away my identity. With no follow through from the company and obviously no real look at a loan from me, it seems obvious that they are just after peoples information.
