I received a UPS envelope with a check for $2,900 and instructions. I was told to deposit the $2,900 check, wait for a couple days to clear (which is provisional by bank). I was then told to keep $500 and go to 2 different Wallmart locations and send moneygram for $1,200 at each location and then send in an evaluation once both moneygrams are sent. I checked online for similar scams with identical scams used. I didn’t cash the check (will shred it). i wanted to warn others about this scam.
