On Sept. 6, 2016, myself & my husband received a phone call about a payday loan that was done online in 2012. The lady that called gave me her name of "Melissa Clark". She stated that the loan was in default & that if it wasn’t paid that it would be turned over to the courts, it would be reported to the credit bureau also. She stated that the amount was $980.76. I asked what online payday website was used. She stated that there are multiple websites, but for example, Cashnet USA, Cash America, etc. She was able to provide the last 4 of my husbands ssn, she had his phone number, his old address, my phone #, his ex wifes new married name, his deceased sisters name (which she has been deceased for more than 10 yrs). I asked how was the funds distributed, all she could tell me was that a checking acct ending in 4314 was used as collateral to repay the loan. No one has an acct with those last 4 #s.
