Received an email from ACS with no contact information. Email stated I owed $964.52, or else would be taken to court and have all my bank accounts seized if I did not make a payment in 48 hours. I have taken payday loans in the past but they are all paid. I have never taken a loan from ACS, and upon conducting additional research it looks as though hundreds of other consumers received the exact same email I did.

I received the following email from a phone debt collector. Please note: they are asking me to appear in a New York City court while I live in the state of Massachusetts.

Dear Debtor,
This is to notify you and requires your immediate attention.
We are going to file a lawsuit in next 24 hours at NYC Civil Court(89-17 Sutphin Blvd, New York, NY 10038)against your Name and SSN. After giving several notifications we didn’t receive any response from your side. We will consider that you are ignoring this matter and you want to dispute this case file. We are in a process to inform the Social Security Administration & major Credit Bureaus as well.
If we don’t hear from you on time/today, we will be compelled to seek legal representation in the Court House. We reserve the right to commence litigation for intent to commit wire fraud under the pretense of refusing to repay a debt committed to, by use of the Internet. 1. Violation of federal banking regulation act 1983 (C)
2. Collateral check fraud
3. Theft by deception (ACC ACT 21A)
YOU CAN APPLY FOR AN OUT OF COURT RESOLVE OPTION (OOCR): All you do is email us back for taking care of this matter outside the court house.
By requesting an offer in compromise, but if you are failed to do that then we shall start the process of pressing those charges against you.

Victim has paid atleast $25.00 to scammer by name of Peter Hans, Senior Investigation Department (Law and Enforecement), at ACS, Inc.
Emails are from: [email protected]
Company asks for payment of $100 on one of the following cards; Vanilla Reload, Reloadit Paypower, Green Dot Cash.
Emails are not well written and have many red flags.
Scammers threaten that they will take serious action against victims name and social security # and forward info. to the court house.
