I had a pop-up, supposedly from Microsoft, say that a virus was blocking use on my computer and to call a number as above. They took control of my computer. Then they showed me that I had failed and corrupt files. They said that no one at Geek Squad could help, only they could do it. I paid them by giving them access to my banking account. Then supposedly they fixed my computer. I was able to stop the check. So far, they have not realized that they will not get their money.

On Nov 28, 2016, I received a security warning my PC which stated that my computer was infected with a virus, and to call the toll free number to speak with someone immediately. the warning stated not to turn off the computer, and try to reboot, my computer was compromised and when I called the toll free number I was connected to the firms sales representatives who verbally misrepresented and mislead me during the initial call and claimed to be from Microsoft and a certified Windows technician, and he can provide me with tech support when that was not the case. The representative gained remote access to my computer, claimed the files were infected and sold me a 3 year service contract to protect my computer from internal and external attacks, which was a support contract he did not deliver nor did I need it. Yesterday the same issue happened again, this time I called and asked for the person I had spoken to, and was informed that they are not the same company, but another one called Niva Infocom. They representative sold me the same annual package to gain access to my computer, and they informed me that the previous tech support did not provide me with any security, or set up a firewall to protect my computer, they further informed me me that a fraudulent IP address was created to gain access to my computer. They showed me the facts as they scanned my computer.
