Type of a scam Debt Collections

The Scammers contacted my Sister and Brother in Law and told them they had been trying to contact about a Lawsuit filed against me.

The scammer advised that I owed a debt in the amount of $3123.10 but would waive Attorney and filing fees if I paid debt in 24 hours without confirming debt that has never appeared on my credit report …..advised to pay now dispute later .

I consulted an Attorney who confirmed there is no pending lawsuit for alleged debt from 9/2/2008.
