Type of a scam Credit Cards

This was a call claiming to be a law firm representing a credit card company for a card closed in 2013. They demanded money or they were going to serve me with legal papers and garnish my wages, etc. They even gave me supposed case number.

I didn’t know what to do so I agreed to payment in agreement that they provide proof of the debt and a settlement agreement to docusign. I then saw that I was only given one document to sign. The settlement agreement. At that point I became even more suspicious so froze payment to do more checking. They have a website that’s pretty generic and dated 2018 at the bottom. After looking up both directions to the building name and finding nothing I found the address is actually a UPS store. I then looked them up on the BBB-nothing. Articles of incorporation in California where the “firm” supposedly exists? Nothing again. The debt is not and hasn’t been on my report
