Through phone conversation, arranged for “Steve” to come to my residence to pick up copper wire to be recycled. We agreed on a price per pound and that he would bring scales to weight copper. Upon arrival he had no scales so we agreed to load all the wire in his truck…approximately 3000lbs of #1 stripped copper. He was supposed to weigh it out in Billings on his scales and come back with cash. He has answered a couple phone calls with multiple empty promises of paying and now just won’t answer or return texts. It’s been 2 1/2 weeks since he left with the copper. He does all his business under the table, tax free and said he ships direct to Mexico. Steve, Chad, and Toni are all related and run this scam by coming to North Dakota and pretending to have a legitimate company offering top dollar for scrap metals but once they have what they want they avoid payment to customer. I will never use them again and recommend they be investigated and shut down. They owe me about $7,000.00
